💌 IL # 12: Planning downstream
Here's something for you that's worth more than 30 minutes of your time
Hey there!
By September 23, there will be 100 days before 2021. One thing that I everyone learned from this pandemic is that anything can happen. There were lots of changes in our lives and in our livelihood. I don’t think anyone saw themselves during 2015 being stuck at home for half of 2020.
I’m the type of person who gets excited whenever I hear the term “strategic planning.” But no one really knew what they’ll do in case a pandemic happens. Well, maybe some, but I don’t personally know anyone.
So this year, I’m going to take a more fluid approach to plan for my next year. I haven’t seriously thought about how I’ll do it but here are some articles that are shaping how I’ll go about it.
It’ll take around 30 minutes for you to read my letter and the links below:
1 / Start from the end: Die broke
🧧The Billionaire Who Wanted To Die Broke . . . Is Now Officially Broke | Steven Bertoni | 🕰 6 minutes
Ever thought about dying broke? There’s usually a negative connotation to it until you read about billionaire Chuck Feeney. He never declared bankruptcy, but here’s a quote that encapsulates his die broke philosophy:
“I see little reason to delay giving when so much good can be achieved through supporting worthwhile causes. Besides, it’s a lot more fun to give while you live than give while you're dead.”
2 / Audit my mental wealth

I’ve shared an excerpt of Elizabeth Gilbert’s interview about learning in public in the maiden issue and if you still that can’t teach anything because you’re still starting, here’s a video that will help you further shift your mindset.
